BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO men are in custody assisting police with their investigations into a shooting incident that left one man hospitalised and another wanted by the law.

Information reaching this publication indicates that on the night of Wednesday (May 18), Arturo Castro of Saddlers Village was shot in the pelvic area while at a friend’s home.

The information also states that shortly after 10:00 on that night, while Castro was in his friend’s home in Saddlers Village, three men from the same village entered the house and one of them dealt him a blow with a large piece of wood and another shot him.

A friend transported him in his car to the JNF General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and is currently warded in the Out Patient Department.

Two of the three men were since arrested on suspicion of shooting Castro but the third one has eluded the lawmen.

Meanwhile, a Sound Engineer, who is currently in St. Kitts for the West Indies vs. Pakistan second Test Match, was robbed last night (May 21) in Frigate bay.

Reports indicate that the man, whose name was given only as Dan, was with his wife at the Shiggidy Shack on the Frigate Bay Strip enjoying a Karaoke session.

However, after leaving the premises and on their way walking to the Marriott Hotel where they are staying, two men robbed them of their possessions.

Information on this incident is sketchy and no details were available on what they were robbed of.

However, more on these incidents as information unfolds.
