BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – OVER the years, St. Kitts has produced a host of productive young men and women, and some of whom have created a number of enterprising business entities.

From this backdrop, SKNVibes has put together some of the most visible young entrepreneurs on the island who are 30 years and under and have with a relatively large number of people in their employ.

Stachio Williams (29) and Cliff Richards (30) – SKNVibes is an internationally known website that provides a wide range of services to its loyal customers. But who knows that it is a group of vibrant young men who are the backbones of this dynasty? Williams and Richards are two of those backbones. At age 20 and 22 respectively, they became two of the masterminds behind the establishment of this internet-based information, education and entertainment website, which service includes advertising, top ups and text to find information.

Khrystus Wallace (24) – At the tender age of 11, Wallace started a bicycle repair shop in which he did repairs and spray paint jobs for friends and family members, as well as persons from the neighbouring communities. At age 17, KVK Enterprises Ltd. became his officially registered business with The Compudoctors and Shop and Ship as branches of this entity. The Compudoctors deals with computer repairs and computer classes, while at Shop and Ship persons can obtain a US mailbox and have overseas ordered items shipped to St. Kitts. Bright and distinguished like the definition of his name, Wallace shows no sign of slowing down, as he recently took his business completely virtual where customers are able to do everything online.

Diego Spanner (23) – One of the most recognised small design and print businesses is none other than Vivid Designs. Spanner started this up and coming business at the age of 17. Now at age 23, Spanner’s Vivid Designs has a wide range of services that include event planning, promotions, photography, artist management, printing and, primarily, graphic designs.

Samal Duggins (26) – This young man should come as no stranger to anyone. At 17 years old, Duggins created Da Embassy Entertainment; a business focusing on recording and graphic designs. This business, expanding to include a wider range of services, was soon transformed into Island Xpressions Media and Marketing. The name, Duggins said, gives a more holistic view of what his business is doing – bringing to light the different expressions of the island. Apart from the well-known ‘Poetry Night’, a monthly event held at Ma Pau, Island Xpressions Media and Marketing’s services include video and audio production, event management, graphic designs, recording, artist management and consultation in media production.

While it is a fact that there are many more young entrepreneurs throughout St. Kitts, SKNVibes has sought to only recognise those 30 years of age and under with employees.
