ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, May 27th 2011 – Six lucky ladies were given a chance to see one of R&B’s legendary crooners when LIAT flew them to Barbados to the recently concluded John Legend In Concert.
In a competition hosted on the airline’s website (www.liat.com), entrants from LIAT destinations were invited to answer a question for a chance to win one of three prize packages. Packages included airfare for two, airport transfers, two night’s accommodation at Almond Casuarina Beach Resort and two tickets to see John Legend perform at the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.
Winners selected on 5th May were Jonishel Browne from St. Kitts, Caroline de Grilla from Trinidad and Pristeen Hamilton from the US Virgin Islands.
Exuberant winner, Pristeen Hamilton, who at first couldn’t believe she had won, described the John Legend concert as awesome from beginning to end and thanked LIAT for “a trip of a lifetime” which she was able to share with her daughter.
Winner Caroline de Grilla was also overjoyed, describing the trip as “the most amazing experience ever” and the show itself truly extraordinary.
This competition is the first of many similar initiatives that will be available on the LIAT website (www.liat.com) as the airline continues its efforts to not only reward customers but also to encourage travel to regional events.
