By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO young men are nursing wounds to their bodies after they were shot last evening (June 3) in Newtown.

Information reaching this publication states that Kurt Lucas (21) of Ponds Extension, Newtown and 22-year-old Kenville Finch of Phillip Street, Ponds Pasture, Newtown were shot in the vicinity of Mad House Alley in Newtown.

Reports indicate that at about 6:30 p.m., the two shooting victims were among a group of young men when a lone gunman approached them from the northern side of Mad House Alley and fired a single shot.

The bullet struck Lucas on the upper left arm and ricocheted into the right side of Finch’s buttocks.

A unit of the Emergency Medical Services transported both men to the JNF General Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

It was learnt that Finch is warded at the hospital but it is unclear if Lucas were discharged after receiving treatment.

No one was held in relation to the incident but police investigations are ongoing.
