BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LOCAL rapping sensation Kwame ‘Dagah’ Samuel may soon be hitting the international stage through a recent offer of a music deal with Slip N Slide Records.
According to the rapper, the music company was very impressed with some of his music that he is currently working on for a new project.
Slip N Slide Records is a Miami-based music label known for producing some big names such as US rapper Rick Ross and female rap diva Trina.
Samuel said the company has a project called ‘On The Grind’ where management offers promotional deals to unknown artistes who are seeking stardom. The artistes would also be featured on the company’s website in an effort to give them exposure with the hope of them being recognised.
Samuel also said he was granted part that deal but discussions are ongoing e for Slip and Slide Records to be a possible distributor for his upcoming ‘mixtape’ dubbed ‘DJ Kevy Kev Presents Dagah: SKN Top Rapper’
The ‘Never Give Up’ singer and composer told SKNVibes that he feels good about the opportunity provided and is elated that such a reputable label actually considered him.
“This makes me realise that I am doing something good and that all the hard work I am putting in is being recognised,” Samuel said.
He added that although the deal is a good thing for him, he would not get too excited but would continue to work hard in pushing his music to higher heights and remain open to anybody else.
Dagah recently released a music video for his latest single called ‘Your Turn To Cry’ and it has been receiving great feedback.
He indicated that next week he would be releasing anther video for his ‘SKN’s State Of Mind’ that features Marvelous Marva – CEO of iRepSKN, while later in the month will see the release of his mixtape.
