    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 7TH 2006  - Four bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Friday.

     

    Lawmakers will debate the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority

     

    (Amendment) Bill, 2006 and the Customs (Control and Management) (Amendment)

     

    (No.2) Bill, 2006, which stand on the name of Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

     

    Minister of National Security, Justice, Immigration and Labour, Hon. Dwyer Astaphan will lead the debate on the Immigration (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, 2006. Minister Astaphan will also introduce and have read a first time, the Chemical Weapons (prohibition and Control) Bill 2006

     

    The Ombudsman Bill, 2006, which had its first reading on August 1st 2006, will be piloted through the lawmaking body by the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Hon. Delano Bart.
