    , St. Kitts (6th Thursday, September 2006):  The Caribbean Gift and Craft Show (CGCS) will not only showcase splendid arts and crafts but also some of the best work done by Caribbean designers.
     
    Judith Rawlins, local fashion designer and organizer of the fashion show that will be apart of CGCS said that the name of the production is 'Fashion Rhythms' and the theme will be 'Caribbean Explosions'.
     
    "Fashion Rhythms is a catwalk presentation and will be a show like no other," she said. "The team behind it is more experienced and has a real sense of fun and community about it. Everyone is pulling together to make the show as good as it possibly can be."
     
    The people of St. Kitts and Nevis are expected to experience the finest in fashions from top Caribbean Fashion Designers, which will depict the essence of the Caribbean.
     
    "It's exciting when you come up with the concepts and think about how the crowd will take to them," Rawlins said.

    Designers such as Marina Frisell Designs out of Antigua, Bouik Designs, Toni Thorne out of Barbados, Tiffany Burnett-Biscombe/Caribbean Creative out of Dominica. Polka Dots Ltd out of Jamaica, Rastafari Dynesty out of Grenada, Precious Creations, Nzingha out of Nevis and Brown Sugar out of St. Kitts to name a few.
     
    The models that will be showcasing the designer's work are well-experienced models in the community and hail from various agencies. Over 42 models are being used from agencies such as Identity Model Agency (Karissa Browne) and Signature Model Agency (Kerrie Hull). Also Unique Plus Productions (Julie Riley), Winnielle Model Management (Winnielle Gilbert) along with independent models.
     
    "We have selected those who are able and ready to deliver," said Rawlins.
     
    Caribbean Fashion Rhythms will be held at the Grand Plaza of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Casino on Friday, September 15, from 7 p.m. to 8:30p.m.
     
    "A lot goes through my mind, there is a lot of planning and I have to do a million things at once," Rawlins said about preparations for the show.
     
    "You have to think about choosing the best designers and the choreography of the models, there is a performance

    dimension to consider for each designer when it comes to fashion shows. Then the behind the scene, the team is huge, with models, make-up and hair artists, and designers and choice of music," she said.
     
    She also said, "You also have to organize the press and invite the right people, the planning and preparation will take about a few weeks leading up to the day and they are going good so far."
     
    ~~Adz:Left~~ "We are getting there. The models are doing their practices and every support technical aspect is in place.  It is looking good so far," Rawlins said.
     
    As apart of the CGCS there will also be other special events such as the Opening Ceremony, Best of Show Awards, Cocktail Reception and Business Seminar for the exhibition trade show buyers and exhibitors and others to attend.
     
    "At times it is hard doing a show but as long as the preparation is there and are going good, you will always put on a great show," she said.
