The security forces executed a number of search warrants on premises in the Basseterre area on Friday 8th September 2006. Out the operations officers found twenty-two (22) cannabis plants ranging between eight and nine feet in height on one of the premises search. On another premise a officers found quantity of substance suspected to be cocaine and vegetable material suspected of being cannabis. Two arrested and charged with the following offences;
Craig "Unkush" Mills of College Housing was charged with the offences of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" cannabis, "Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Drug" cannabis, and "Cultivation of a Controlled Drug" cannabis.
Davril Battice of East Street, Newtown was charged with the offences of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" cannabis and cocaine.
Four (4) female juveniles of the Basseterre area were charged with various offences after an altercation took place downtown Basseterre on Friday 8th September 2006. One female was charged with offence of "Battery on a Police Officer" and "Resisting Arresting" and they were all charged with the offence, making use of "Indecent Language". Three of the juveniles were also charged with the offence of "Obstruction" and they were all bailed in sum of $3,000.00 each to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 2nd October 2006.
At the High Court on Thursday 7th September 2006, Krami O'Loughlin of HermitageVillage, Cayon who was charged with two counts of the offence "Attempted Murder", was granted bail in the sum of $50,000.00 to appear at the said court on 3rd October 2006. O'loughlin was ordered by the court to report to the Cayon Police Station every Monday and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., to surrender all travel documents to the court and to maintain a 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. curfew. On 7th May 2006 O'loughlin was charged with the offences, making a total of four persons charged in connection with the incident committed on 4th April 2006 at LodgeVillage.
At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Friday 8th September 2006, David Dowell of West Street, Newtown who was charged with the offence of "Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm" saw his charge reduced to "Simple Wounding", the offence having been committed on 27th January 2006. Dowell was convicted and fined as follows; $500.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve (14) days imprisonment with hard labour; to pay compensation in the sum of $1,000.00 in one (1) month or in default to serve (14) days imprisonment with hard labour and to attend four (4) counseling session or in default to serve (14) days imprisonment with hard labour
