Police Press Release

    In pursuance of investigations into the murder of Josh Smithen formally of St. Pauls Village, who died on Saturday 9th September 2006, a sixteen-year-old and seventeen-year-old male juvenile have been arrested and charged in connection with the offence. 

    Sixteen-year-old Smithen died as a result of a stab wound to his head inflicted upon him on the night of Friday 8th September 2006 at St. Pauls Village.

     The two (2) juveniles, who reside in St. Pauls, will appear before the Magistrate Court shortly and are expected to be remanded to Her Majesty's Prison.

     

     

     

    The High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force wish to advise the public that we are mindful of the number of unrelated reports that have occurred on St. Kitts over the past two weeks, during which time three (3) persons lost their lives. 

    We also wish to advise the public that these matters are being investigated without relent and we will do all that we can, to bring the perpetrators of not only these but all crimes to justice.

     

     

     

    The public can rest with the assurance that the Police will continue to serve, protect and defend their rights as they go about their lawful business. We further appeal to the public for their continued assistance in passing on valuable information that will lead to the apprehension of any person(s) involved in these criminal matters.
