    Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 12, 2006): The Caribbean Gift and Craft Show 2006 gets off to a start this morning with an impressive line-up of 157 booths featuring items by 207 exhibitors.
    Today (Thursday) until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) the show is open only to trade buyers, but after that the show will welcome the entire population of St. Kitts and Nevis.
     
    With a small entry fee of $15 for a market place of the best of the Caribbeans authentic goods and fashion, local committee chairman Mr. Austin Weekes said he is expecting St. Kitts and Nevis to be unleashed on the show beginning on Friday when the fashion component of the show will be on display featuring 28 of the regions top designers.
     
    Caribbean Export Show Manager, Veona Maloney, who arrived in the Federation over the weekend, said the runway presentation is aimed at showcasing to fashion buyers and the general public the best of Caribbean fashion designers, thereby providing export opportunities and strategic linkages.
     
    ~~Adz:Right~~Hundreds of trade buyers from the United States, Europe and the Caribbean region frequent the event hoping to find top class items that would keep their companies on the leading edge.
     
    Maloney also said the fashion and the Caribbean Gift and Craft Show generally, is an event of lifetime.
     
    On Saturday, members of the public are also invited to a seminar How to Market and Protect Your Creative Intellectual Property Assets. The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m.
