Minister Nigel Carty submitted an article in the Sun of September 3rd, 2007.  The Caption, “NO FINGERPRINTS – SEVEN COMMANDING REASONS”.  It is a clear expression of Labour’s intent to “thief” another election.  Carty’s article fits precisely in relation to the age-old consideration of thieves making the rules.  If thieves were to make the rules there would be nine commandments.  Further, there would be no police patrols, no burglar bars, no guard dogs and no high fences.

Minister Carty is indeed an intelligent man but extremely careless and impulsive.  He should have reserved his writing until the Jamaican elections were completed.  Thanks to Carib Vision and Hype TV, Carty’s balderdashery has been exposed and disassembled.

Repeatedly Carty has argued that fingerprints bring no added value to the Voter I.D. Card.  Carty is trying to defy genetics and nanobiology.  There is nothing such as a “Unique Voter I.D. Number.”  Any number can be replicated or simply duplicated.  There is no biological or biochemical link between the number and the person.  On the other hand the fingerprint has a unique link to the individual facilitated by the work of nature, i.e., nanoscience or nanobiology.  In the same way that tigers and zebras have unique colour patterns the human fingerprint is unique, all facilitated by nanobiology, a phenomenon more involved, more delicate than ROCKET SCIENCE.

Minister Carty’s position is ridiculous and laughable.  Where would all the information to be put on Labour’s card be kept?  It has to be in a Database or Date bank.  Any person who is bothered about his fingerprints and crime must be at least equally concerned about losing his life-savings.

Presently Carty is delving into the Newton’s report to query the figures.  It is therefore very clear the degree of “cooking” that Labour intended by keeping the report from the public.  Carty has expressed a violent opposition to the publication of the document.  The Newtown’s report was presented as a summary.  Where is the original date?  The original notes of people like Isaac (not Elvis) Newton, Einstein AND HEINSBERG are all still available for study, analysis and further application by anyone interested.

After attempting to conceal the document Nigel Carty is now trying to convince the public with his shrewd and biased interpretation of the figures.  Again it is like thieves asking for a second chance.

In his third disagreement Minister Carty has a lot of explaining to do.  In fact his position is raising very crucial questions.  If Labour’s Card is to be used are we to be told that all the items and facilities he points out would not be imperative and desiderative.  All would be affected by Labour’s unreliable power supply.  The power supply itself can run the election into seven days.  An example of Carty’s casuistry is in the matter of a high speed computer/internet connection.  Would this not be needed if there is his incongruent “Unique Voter ID Number”, on Labour’s Card?

If Minister Carty continues to be so adamant with respect to his third point then it is clear that Labour would put faults into the system so allowing one person to use his “unique member” a number of times.

Since Minister Carty is so convinced with his position or reason number four I think he should send a challenge to Danville Walker of the Elections office of Jamaica.  The Jamaica elections by themselves have assisted an intelligent Nigel Carty to make himself look like a fool.  The Minister must know that there are many who happily acknowledge that he is a man of acumen.  He must know that many nations and men have fallen because intelligence was not applied with honesty.

As to cost, utter rubbish!  The Commonwealth, Caricom, Jamaica itself, has all offered help.  If cost was a matter then only send the Newton Committee all over the world.  Why would Douglas prepare to send party representatives all over the world?  In the tone of Denzil Douglas, COST ME _ _ _!

Minister Carty cannot deny the fact that the Jamaicans have realized the high cost of fraudulent and violent elections to their socio economic development and are making a serious effort to remedy the problems.  As a yelling and aspiring leader, does he want to one day inherit a St. Kitts like the Jamaica of the 1970s and 1980s?

Any criticism of the Electoral System proposed by the people of this country by Minister Carty is a condemnation of what has essentially happened in Jamaica.

Danville Walker promised all that by 9: 00 p.m. Jamaica time he would have a result.  Subject to correction he faltered by about forty-five minutes.  Carty says that there are seventy-two (72) polling stations in St. Kitts.  One constituency in Jamaica has one hundred and thirty-five polling stations.  Thanks to Caribvision TV everyone saw the use of fingerprints in Jamaica.  Both Portia Simpson and Bruce Golding had to present them at voting.
