    Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of St. Kitts and Nevis His Excellency Dr. Joseph Christmas (seated) signing on behalf of the Federation at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

     

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 20TH 2006 -
    St. Kitts and Nevis' former Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Delano Bart is to taking up diplomatic assignment overseas.

    Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas informed the Nation that Bart, who retired after 11 years as Attorney General, "will serve in a new capacity as General Counsel to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and as the new Ambassador-designate and Permanent Representative of the St. Kitts and Nevis Mission to the United Nations in New York.
     
    "Mr. Bart will replace His Excellency Dr. Joseph Christmas, who has given dedicated service to the Federation in that capacity for the last six (6) years.  

    Dr. Christmas, will return to St. Kitts and Nevis in a new capacity to assist in the expanding development programme of St. Kitts and Nevis," said Dr. Douglas.
