    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (APRIL 12TH 2004)
    – Judges selected winners from the scores of ladies wearing hats at the Easter Sunday Tea Party and Hat Parade, held under the Distinguished Patronage of St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas.
    Mrs. Lorene Edmeade’s hat was judged “Most Creative,” the hat worn by Ms. Ruby Taylor, was judged “Most Stylist” and Mrs. Roslyn Grant’s hat was judged “Most Original.”
     
    Judges were Mrs. Hulda Lawrence, Mrs. Telca Wallace and Mrs. Claudia Williams.

    The event at “Mama Elle’s” – residence of Henrietta Douglas – sister of the Prime Minister – was one of several events to celebrate Dr. Douglas’ 15 years as Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Six in the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly.
     
    Hats were also modeled by members of “Reign of Elegance” and “The Thoroughbreds” a male group.
     
    Performances were by the St. Christopher Steel Band, the Jingle Bell String Band, Samantha Rochester and Carissa Liburd gave renditions.

    The show, attended by Governor General His Excellency Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian and Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas was choreographed by Nashema Chiverton. Artistic Director was Telca Wallace.
     
    Mistresses of Ceremony were Adina Connor, Marlene Liburd and Margaret Stevens.
