BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 12TH 2006 - Tributes from the Ministry of National Security, the Police Mass Choir, Parliamentary Representative, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, Fifth Formers of the Cayon High School and Social Security will pay tribute during the funeral service of Sgt. Clive Benjamin on Friday afternoon.
Sgt. Benjamin, who died in the line of duty earlier this month, will be buried with full military honours at the Cayon Parish Cemetery, following the service at the Bethesda Methodist Church.
The hour-long tributes prior to the start of the service, include renditions remembrances by Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr. Meredith Charles; the Course 17 Recruits of the Class of 1985; Officers of the Frigate Bay Outpost; Major Jones, Shawn Brookes, St. Kitts Brush and Vera Pemberton.
He formal part of the service which starts at 3 "o' clock, will be officiated by Pastors Benjamin Browne and Solomon Morton and Force Chaplain, Pastor Leroy Benjamin.
A solo will be sung by Jerome Vanterpool, the Scripture Reading by Lillian Warde and Sycely Liburd; the Eulogy by Mikey Roberts and selections by the Family, the Cayon Church of God Chorale and the Cayon Church of God Choir.
St. Kitts and Nevis' Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Minister of National Security, Hon. Dwyer Astaphan, Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials, the Diplomatic and Consular Corps and the high command and ranks of the St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force are expected to be among the hundreds of persons attending the funeral.

Sgt. Benjamin is survived by his wife, Terrencia Benjamin, two children, Cliren and Clirecia, father, Samuel Benjamin10 sisters, 4 brothers and several other relatives.
