    ~~Adz:Left~~Basseterre, St. Kitts, 24th October, 2006 - If you have a love for photography and wish the world to see your talent, then enter the youth photo contest. 

    Sponsored by one of the most well known publications internationally, this contest will feature those with a genuine talent.
     
    The National Geographic Traveler has launched its second annual photography competition for Caribbean students aged 12-17.  Students are to submit up to five(5)photos that they believe capture the best attributes of their country. 

    The images should represent a variety of elements in Caribbean culture, the people, food, landscapes or local events that best describe the spirit of the community.
     
    ~~Adz:Right~~The grand-prize winner will receive a four-day, three-night trip for two (child and parent or guardian) to Washington, D.C., with daily per diem (US$100) and hotel included.
     
     In addition, a pentax digital camera and the winning student's photograph published in National Geographic Traveler. 

    This is a great chance for our students to do something fun and explore their communities with their camera. 

    Last year we placed third out of 32 countries and I do hope that we are at least able to match that if not do better," said Unoma Allen, Corporate Communications Manager, St. Kitts Tourism Authority .

    November 17th, 2006.
