~~Adz:Left~~Over the past year it has become clear that inspite of the best efforts of the pound keepers the volume of animals on the road and in the cultivation of both SSMC and private farmers, has become overwhelming. 

In view of the threat to life, limb and livelihood posed by stray animals, the Ministry of Agriculture will be mounting a programme to bring this situation under control. All owners of livestock are directed to tether or otherwise secure

their animals by October 31 when the new programme will be implemented.

All livestock owners are reminded that the safety, security and control of their animals is their responsibility.
