| Nu-Vybes Band in good times |
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (October 25, 2006): News circulating in and around St. Kitts seems to suggest that there are problems within the Nu-Vybes aka Sugar Band camp.
This news comes as a big surprised to many of the fans, as this year has been a very good year for the band, so far they have re-captured the road March crown of St. Kitts and won the Best Soca Group Awards award at the 13th Annual Reggae Soca Music Awards and has been nominated in several other musical awards internationally.
So far three of the players have left the band including among them is one of the original members of the band, keyboardist and programmer Steve 'Steba' Dublin, who is considered as the mastermind of the band. ~~Adz:Right~~
The other members who have left the band are guitarist Carl 'Ozzie' Osbourne and bassman Chad 'Suckie' Benjamin.
Remaining with Nu-Vybes are lead vocalist Gregory 'Mr. Mention' Hobson band leader, Leroy 'Rush' Thompson vocalist and Oflyn 'One Booth' Rogers drummer.
Dublin in an interview with SKNVibes quickly dispelled rumours that he has formed a new band.
There is still no official word from the management of Nu-Vybes Band.
