    St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas (l) and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, His Excellency Francisco Hwang.

     

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (APRIL 21ST 2004) – The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, His Excellency Francisco Hwang and St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas held talks over the weekend on matters of mutual interest.

     

     

     

    The Taiwanese Vice Minister, who has responsibility for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, was joined during the meeting by that country’s St. Kitts-based Ambassador to the Federation, Her Excellency Mrs. Marietta Liau and other officials.

     

     

     

    St. Kitts and Nevis' Ambassador to the Republic of China on Taiwan, His Excellency Errol Maynard; St. Kitts and Nevis Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris and St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas.

     

    Prime Minister Douglas was supported at the discussions by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris and St. Kitts and Nevis’ Ambassador to the Republic of China on Taiwan, His Excellency Errol Maynard.

     

     

     

    The Taiwanese Vice Minister was met on arrival at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport by Minister Harris and Ambassador Maynard. He left on Sunday morning for similar visits to Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
