    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 1ST 2006  -
    A prominent Afro-American with Caribbean roots has accepted the invitation to be the Guest Speaker at the Sixth  Annual Prime Minister's New Year's Gala.

     

    Chairperson of the Gala Committee and Speaker of the National Assembly, the Hon. Marcella Liburd stopped short of releasing the name of the individual.

     

    She has confirmed that the person has accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas to speak at the Gala event, that will take place at the Grand Ballroom of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Saturday 6th January 2007.

     

    In releasing the date of the Prime Minister's Annual Gala last month, Ms.
