    Basseterre, St. Kitts (April 27, 2004): The laying of electricity underground cables demonstrate the continued effort on the part of the government to upgrade and improve the electricity supply in St. Kitts and Nevis.
     
    The laying of the cables is being done through the Electricity Supply Improvement Project (ESIP) and involves the placement of a 240mm Cu PILSSA 11,000 volt electricity power cable.
     
    The work which began Monday, April 26, commenced from the Needsmust Powerstation and will cross the Wellington Road and run in a southwesterly direction under the SSMC railway track to the substation at Kittstoddarts. 
     
    From the substation, the cable will continue southwesterly along Wellington Road to the existing substation at Value Mart located on the northern side of Leonard Dickenson Road.
