Penta Paints through their local agents S.L Horsford & Co. Ltd. has announced their "Paint On the Spot" competition. The competition is geared towards students between the ages of 5 and 20. The competition is going to be held on Saturday November 18th at the St.JohnsonVillageCommunity Center between 12 noon and 3 pm.
~~Adz:right~~There will be four (4) age group categories namely 5-8, 9-12, 13-16 and 17-20. Each participant will be required to paint a drawing on the theme "Tomorrow's Tourism, Today" and paintings must be completed within the allotted 3 hour time period. Hence, each drawing must be created and painted on the spot.
According to officials of the competition there will be many attractive individual prizes for the participants. However, the most significant award will be the bestowal given to the school with the most "winners" points. All categories will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to which points will be awarded. The 1st position will attract a sum of 5 points while the 2nd & 3rd place winners will be awarded 3 and 1 points respectively. At the end of the competition all the overall points will be tabulated and the full exterior of the school with the most points will be painted, free of cost.
