(Charlestown, Nevis, 13 Nov 06) Mayor Frank Brandston of Bedford, England welcomed Premier Joseph Parry to his office on Wednesday, Nov. 8th 2006.
Premier Parry paid a courtesy call to Mayor Brandston during his first official visit to Great Britain as Premier of Nevis.
The Premier said, He welcomes a strong relationship of the Island of Nevis with the town of Bedford. Many Nevisians who have have traveled to the UK in search for a better life, settled in Bedford since the late 1940s and their contribution back to Nevis has made a significant difference in the lives of many of their relatives and friends on the island.

During a luncheon the Mayor and Premier Parry discussed the Caribbean, Great Britain and Current events.
After lunch, local press met with the Premier and the Mayor in front of the Town Hall for photos and a brief Press Conference. |
