~~Adz:Right~~Basseterre, St. Kitts (November 16, 2006) Local distributor for Shells unleaded gasoline, Sol, officially introduced a high performance gasoline called Shell V-Power, into the St. Kitts market at a media launch on Wednesday.
Country Manager Vern Cenac said at the media launch that Shell V-Power is designed for extra performance. "Shell V-Power is designed to optimize performance and deliver maximum response from the fuel in your cars engine.
Shell V-Power was developed by the scientists at Shell Global Solution and is the only fuel available in this market created with technology developed for Ferrari Formula One racing fuel and then adapted for road cars," Cenac said.
Cenac also addressed any concerns about prior testing and acceptability of the fuel into the local market by saying, "Extensive testing was carried out for St. Kitts including base fuel analysis and engine tests in order to formulate Shell V-Power that would deliver the maximum benefits to Shells customers and their engines."
Stewart Gill, Executive Director of the Sol Group said, that the launch of Shell V-Power marks a major milestone in the companys growth and commitment to provide the highest quality of fuels and service to its retail customers.

About unleaded fuel prices on St. Kitts
Unleaded fuel prices on St. Kitts are regulated and are presently fixed at EC$10.50 per gallon. Shell V-Power will therefore have to comply with the regulated pricing policy.

Belize: Sol in Belize has a permanent staff of around 10 with a service station network of 14 and numerous commercial accounts.
