Charlestown Nevis (November 15, 2006) Nevis Premier, the Hon. Joseph Parry used Tuesday afternoon to appraise himself on the situation of the Ivor Walters Primary School and the Cotton Ground Police Station, following the relocation of both institutions.
The Ivor Walters Primary School and the Cotton Ground Police Station were relocated on Monday November 13. The Ivor Walters Primary School formerly the Prospect Primary School was relocated to the former premises of the Prospect Senior Citizens Home to accommodate the construction of a new roof.
Speaking to the Government Information Service, Premier Parry said that his visit was to evaluate how the teachers and students were fitting into their new location. He also expressed that he was very pleased to see the outcome and although space was limited, the teachers and students were comfortable.
The Premier noted that his Administration would work very hard to have the school building repaired as soon as possible.
~~Adz:Right~~Accompanied by the Advisor to Education, Mrs. Christine Springette, Premier Parry also toured the new location of the Cotton Ground Police Station at the bottom of Cotton Ground. He spoke to the officers at their new but temporary residence.
He also visited the Gingerland Police Station which is nearing completion.
