~~adz:Left~~(Basseterre; St. Kitts): The St. Kitts Flower Arrangers Association elected a new Executive to direct the affairs of the group for the ensuing year. At a meeting held on October 30th 2006 Mrs Puretta Wilkin was elected to a second term as President of the 26 year-old organisation.
Mrs. Dahlia John and Mrs Beryl Hughes were also elected to serve another term as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Mrs Eualaie Berrideg was also a famialr face on the new executive as she was also re-elected as the groups Librarian/Custodian.
The new faces on the executive inlcudes Mrs Jean Archibald the newly elected Vice President and Mrs Agnes Crawford PRO/Welfare. The full executive comprises: Mrs. Puretta Wilkin, President, Mrs. Jean Archibald, Vice President Mrs. Dalia John, Secretary, Mrs. Beryl Hughes, Treasurer, Ms Eugenie Williams, Assistant Treasurer/Secretary Ms Eulalie Berridge - Librarian/Custodian, Mrs Agnes Crawford PRO/Welfare Mrs Francica Haynes - Member Mrs. Agnes Morton - Member Mrs Agnes Farrel - Member Ms Vernice Hendrickson Member Ms Agnes Farrel - Member
Mrs Wilkin and her new executive expressed and re-affirmed their committment to the further development of the association, to pursue its goals and objectives, and to promote peace and goodwill through flowers. Among the events planned for the 2007 is attendance at the 23rd Annual World Flower Council Summit, to be held in Nice, France in September.
~~adz:Right~~Two members of the Association Mrs. Dulcie Richardson and President Puretta Wilkin recently returned from Thailand where they attended the Royal Flora Ratachaphruek 2006, Horticultural Exposition for His Majesty the King of Thailand in Chian Mai. The event was held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Thai King's accession to the throne, as well as to celebrate his 80th Birthday."
The St.Kitts Flower Arrangers Association is entering it's 27th year of existence and has been recognised over the years as one of the most respected vibrant and progessive associations in the federation.
