    (Basseterre; St. Kitts):
The sentencing of Kemba Swanston who was found guilty of Murder and Attempted Murder on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at the High Court was once again adjourned, today Nov. 20.

This is the third time the sentencing has been adjourned due to the failure to produce evaluation reports before the Court.

The Psychiatric Report is still pending while Defense Lawyer Jason Hamilton said that he has found the Social Report inadequate.

"The social report does not include any interviews by other persons speaking about Swanston.   He is a repeat offender and is known in the system; they should have had comments from different individuals.  I will write a letter expressing my concerns,"he said.

The matter has been adjourned until Dec. 4.

Swanston was charged with the murder and attempted murder of 28-year-old Dennis Trotman a.k.a. Ras J and his brother Davin Henry respectively.

On Monday, June 2, 2003 the brothers traveled on a bus on their way to Cayon when it made a turn up Four-Mile Alley in Keys to drop off a passenger.

There at the alley the bus was bombarded with stones and bottles as several young men attacked the bus and the two brothers.

Four young men have already pleaded guilty to Manslaughter and were sentenced, while Police believe that Swanston, who they apprehended two months after the incident because he was in "hiding", was involved in the crime.~~adz:Right~~

The four men all testified on behalf of the Defense and said that Swanston was not involved in the murder and attempted murder.  However, their testimonies were unable to persuade the jurors of Swanston's innocence who still found him guilty.

Swanston said that he was not involved in the crime and was an innocent onlooker while the event occurred on that fateful day.

When asked why he flew from the scene and went into hiding he responded by saying his name is "salt" - meaning it's easy to call.
