    (Basseterre; St. Kitts):
At around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, members of the Royal St. Kitts-Nevis Police Force along with top ranking officials marched from the police training school and through the streets of Basseterre paying respect to the seat of Government.

They marched along the Bay Road and continued onto Church Street and ended sometime around 8:30 a.m.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Meredith Charles told SKNVibes.com that the march was a rehearsal to refresh the officers drill practice.

He said that it was also a method of discipline to replenish police officers which were done in the old days of policing. ~~adz:Right~~

"The march was a showcase of their skills and to send a message to the public that we are still together despite of the many problems," he said.  "This is also to let criminals know that we would not stand idle by and watch them run havoc of this country."

Charles said that the march will let the public know that they are still together despite the many problems they are facing and also to let criminals know that they would not stand idle by and watch them run havoc on the country.

He added that the march in the past had been done once a month but due to certain aspects it has not been done for many years, but he has hopes of making it a continued practice every month so the public can feel assured of the police presence.
