The Childrens Carnival Parade will display highlights of the many festivals and events celebrated throughout St. Kitts and Nevis.
    (Basseterre; St. Kitts):
The Cable and Wireless Children's Carnival Parade is in full swing and is almost ready to be on its way.

The theme "Celebrations" is being used this year as the Carnival Committee celebrates 35 years.

The Children's Carnival Parade will display highlights of the many festivals and events celebrated throughout St. Kitts and Nevis.

The costume builders from St. Vincent and the Grenadines have already flown in and have started work on the preparations for the 2007/2008 St. Kitts Nevis Children's Carnival costumes.

Geoffrey Hanley, Director of Youth and also the chairman of the Children's Carnival Committee, said that all the primary schools are expected to take part along with some of the private schools and the national drummers.

Hanley also told SKNVibes.com that the children will not only perform through the streets of Basseterre but will also showcase a performance at the Netball City - something that has not been done in many years.

He further expressed that he hopes the Children's Parade will have the full participation of the schools and the general public.
