launched the Insomnia Parade Troupe for Carnival 2006/2007.
Keeshawn Walwyn also known as Banker, founder of the Mas Camp, spoke to SKNVibes.com and said that his passion for culture and folklore has inspired him to present to the people the spirit of Insomnia to give persons a chance to enjoy themselves as carnival should be.
He expressed his concerns about St.Kitts/Nevis losing its culture and urges the people not only to enjoy carnival but to preserve its cultures because "that's what really makes the carnival enjoyable".
Ian Phipps, Managing Director, said that the feedback has been great so far and has high hopes for the Insomnia Parade Troupe to be around for as many years as possible.

He also mentioned that the costume builders, Julian Pollard, Keeshawn Walwyn, Petulia Lewis, Ian Williams and Junior Melburn had been working really hard to put Insomnia together.
Walwyn said that the name Insomnia was chosen because people don't sleep during carnival; carnival gives you 'insomnia' because of all the partying and it's a 'TIME TO PLAY MASS' as their slogan says.
Everyone should do their part in promoting St. Kitts Carnival regional and internationally and help to take it to another level he said.
Five different costumes were displayed at the launch on Friday night as eager fans looked on and complimented their favorite designs. ~~adz:Right~~
