Police Press Release

The following persons were arrested and charged between 1^st and 3^rd November 2006;

·
On 01-12-06 two (2) fourteen (14) year old male juveniles from Trafalgar Village and Conaree Village were charged with the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny" which occurred at the Beach Allen Primary School between 29-11-06 and 30-11-06. ~~Adz:Right~~

· On 02-12-06 Shawn "Five Pack" Rogers of Conaree Village was charged with the offence of "Wounding with Intent" committed on 2^nd November 2006.

· On 03-12-06 Elton Browne of Conaree Village was charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on the aforementioned date.

· On 03-12-06 Jermaine Nathaniel Merrit alias "P" of Thibou Avenue was charged with the offence of "House Breaking and Larceny" committed on 29^th November 2006 at Walwyn Avenue.

On 03-12-06 a twelve (12) year-old male juvenile of Conaree Village and a fourteen (14) year old male juvenile were charged with the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny" committed between 20^th and 21^st November 2006 at the Paul Southwell Industrial Site.

· On 03-12-06, Malvi Drew of Newtown, Damian Dias of Newtown, Shamon Herbert of Ponds Pasture and Leo Gilbert of Pond Road, were all charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on the aforementioned date.

· Leonard Huggins of Stoney Hill, Nevis was a charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 2^nd December 2006 at Gingerland.

~~Adz:Left~~The following cases were heard at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 1^st December 2006;

· The case of Shervhn Herbert of Conaree Village who was charged with the offence of "Threatening Language" committed on 19^th October 2006. He was convicted and fined $500.00 to be paid on or before 28-02-07 or to serve one month imprisonment with hard labour.

· The case of Tejay Isaac and Jahmarie Rogers of Conaree Village who were charged with the offence of "Wounding with Intent" committed on 1^st July 2005. They were committed to stand trial at the January 2007 Criminal Assizes and later bailed in the sum of $20,000.00 each to appear at the said assizes.
