    The Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry
    Charlestown, Nevis. Monday, Dec. 4th 2006.
    The Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Joseph Parry, returned from St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands on Sunday, December 3rd.  

    The Premier was the featured speaker at a formal dinner held at the prestigious Frenchman's Reef Hotel, honouring retiring Senator of the United States Virgin Islands, Mr. Roosevelt David, on Saturday, Dec. 2nd, 2006.

    Mr. Parry congratulated Nevisian born, five-term Senator Roosevelt David who was recognized for the sterling contributions he has made to the economic, financial, social and political development of the Virgin Islands.

    In his speech, Premier Parry told participants at the dinner of his fond memories of Mr. David. "For those of us who know Roosevelt David during his formative years, I am sure that certain words would have nudged our memory of the boy and young man who called Cotton Ground home. Words like strong character, competition, church and politics all describe this outstanding man." ~~Adz:Right~~

    In attendance at the formal dinner were a number of other regional leaders and dignitaries who made speeches and brief remarks honouring Senator David.
