Basseterre, St. Kitts (December 14, 2006): Free blood sugar screening, free and confidential HIV testing and free bMobile top-ups are among attractions of Health Fair 2006.
This takes place in Independence Square on Wednesday, December 20 from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Various booths will display information, and in some cases equipment, that can assist individuals in leading happy and healthy lives. As such, the aspects being showcased will range from eye, dental and mental health care to nutrition, environment and health insurance advice.
One highlight of Health Fair 2006 is the free HIV testing provided by the national Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) Providers. This falls under the activities of World AIDS Campaign 2006 and has been dubbed a National VCT Day.
Health Fair 2006 is being held under the theme: "Together Promoting Health." All are invited to attend the December 20th holistic, health exhibition.
