Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 15th, 2006 -   With Quatro, Guitar and Kimbe drum in hand, the staff of the Ministry of Tourism, Sports & Culture delivered Christmas cheer to a deserving group.

Residents of the Cardin Home were treated to a medley of Christmas songs known the world over and locally.  One such is the popular, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU, sung by local calypsonian, Lord Kut.  The moment was so full of love and sincere happiness, that the residents joined in and led the Ministry to sing, Joy to the World, O Come All Ye Faithful and more.  These songs were not part of the planned repertoire.

At the end of the visit, Christine Walwyn, CEO (Ag.) on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture, donated to the Home, fifty blankets, two cartons of fruit juices and a cake.  "It was so emotional for me&it was a good gesture& you could see that the residents of the Cardin home really appreciated the Ministry coming to sing for them, said Ms Walwyn."

On Thursday 14th December, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority joined with some of the crew of the cruise ship, Constellation, to handout gifts to over 80 children of the Special Education Unit and the Childrens Home.  These gifts were donated by the cruise ship's management and the Authority organised the event.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority wishes all a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
