(Charlestown; Nevis): Droves of customers lined up in the wee hours of last Saturday morning to benefit from the 5th Annual TDC Early Bird Special Sale Event.
According to General Manager of TDC Nevis, Ernie France, the 30% discount sale was an idea that was conceived about five years ago as one of the TDC Company's marketing initiatives.
"Every December we give a 30% discount to all our customers and the idea for this sale was conceived as one of our marketing initiatives," he said. "Right now the Early Bird Special Sale is in its 5th year and it has experienced tremendous success as people are always looking for a bargain around this time of year."
France said that the people came out to take advantage of what they had to offer.
"It is a storewide sale so even people who are building homes can come out and receive bargains on building materials etc.," he said.
France further explained that the two-hour long sale event was also an opportunity for TDC to show their appreciation to customers for their support and patronage throughout the year.
"The sale began at 5 a.m. and finished at 7 a.m. and after that period we closed for an hour to regroup and then we reopened around 8:30 a.m. After that we still offered a tailored sale price of 15% discount," he said.
"This sale was really an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to customers for their patronage throughout the year and so we have done just that."
