Basseterre, St. Kitts (December 19, 2006): The Cayon Beautification Committee has Cayon standing out among villages in St. Kitts the second year around with its lighting display which was illuminated on Monday.
A large cross section community showed up to witness what is to be an annual event with a display of Christmas lights and figures that bring joy and warmth to the area.~~Adz:Right~~
Elected Representative for the area Hon. Cedric Liburd expressed congratulations to the Cayon community and referred to the lighting as a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.
He further noted that the lighting reminds us of the coming of the Light which is Jesus Christ on the first Christmas.
.~~Adz:Left~~The Minister encouraged the community to continue to be united especially given the commitments Cayon has in 2007 such as hosting ICC Cricket World Cup practice matches at St. Mary's Park.
