Folklore Avenue which will be held on Thursday, was conceptualized by the former minister of Culture Hon Jacinth Henry-Martin as a means of showcasing the value of folklore to our cultural preservation and carnival celebrations.

The Masquerades, clowns, mummies, Mocko Jumbies and actors and bull Troupes are expected to line Fort Street from 10 a.m. Thursday until 3:00 p.m.

A spokesman from the department of culture said this year, Folklore avenue will take place twice: on Thursday 21st again on Thursday 28th .  The ministry is grateful to the folklore groups for their sterling contribution to the preservation of our cultural heritage and is confident of the lasting legacy of the art form..~~Adz:Right~~
