Many surprises in store says organisers
The "NIGHT OF STARS" Old Years Gala and Ball is shaping up to be the biggest Old Years night event for the carnival season 2006. Island Vybz Entertainment and Elite Promotion have come together to stage this spectacular event which according to the organizers will undoubtedly be the Ball of the Season.
The event will be staged at the beautiful, luxurious and comfortable Angelus Resort Hotel in the lovely tourist belt of Frigate Bay ,just a stones throw from the Marriott Resort. The Ball will not only feature some of the federations top entertainers including radio personalities and DJ's Ronnie Rascal and Leslie Sugar Bowl Morton but also two of the top carnival bands for 2006 in the newly launched and exciting d'Vybz Band and the Small Axe band which features newly crowned soca monarch champion Ras Kelly who won the event with the massive hit Masquerade. ~~Adz:Right~~
According to the organizers their will also be a special guest reunion performance by the Original Small Axe Band. Reports indicate the band will play a 60 minute set that will likely include some of the bands late 80's and early 90's hits including Big League, Pussy Cat and Who is de Don which were all road march champion songs.
"We are planning a very spectacular and fan friendly ball ," said one of the organizers."We intend to reward many of the persons attending the ball with many gate prizes as well as prizes for the best dressed male, female and couple ," the organizer continued. Another feature of the ball is a special Photo area where persons can take their special photos in their fancy old years outfits.
Persons attending the ball will also be able to view a new years fireworks display which unconfirmed reports indicate will be done in the frigate bay area.
~~Adz:Left~~The NIGHT OF STARS Ball will also feature a red carpet grand entrance type of atmosphere similar to the grammy's and Oscars.
"The Angelus Resort Hotel provides the perfect setting for a BALL of this nature said a spokesperson of the event. " The resort is luxurious, beautiful, comfortable and convenient as it offers adequate parking and bathroom facilitities the latter of which has been a concern raised by persons attending similar events at other venues in the past," the spokesperson continued.
Adequate security will also be a prominent feature at the event as well as both patrons and their belongings including vehicles will be under heavy security scrutiny.
