Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 13, 2004): Minister responsible for Culture Honourable Jacinth Henry Martin and Festivals Director Allister Williams are in St. Lucia on a St. Kitts Music Festival promotional tour.
The team left the Federation today to as they termed it “bombard” the St. Lucia Jazz Festival with information about the St. Kitts Music Festival.
While in St. Lucia the Minister and Mr Williams will visit radio and television stations as well as travel agencies and other places with promotional potential.
The Minister said the atmosphere created by the Jazz Festival provides an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the St. Kitts Music Festival as there is a captive target market of festival lovers.
She added that while the St. Kitts Music Festival has pretty much made a name for itself, the committee would not miss any chance to enhance its image.
The Minister added that the St. Kitts Music Festival Line-up augurs well for another highly successful year.
