The presentation was made at the studios of WINNFM on Thursday 1st February 2007, by Mr. Noah Mills, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager. Mr. Mills offered words of congratulations to the first place winner and applauded WINNFM for organizing the third Annual scholastic activity.
"On behalf of the TDC Group of Companies, I wish to commend WINNFM for organizing this Short Story Competition. I had the opportunity to read Uneke's story and was very impressed with the outstanding work she produced. We extend best wishes to her for capturing the top prize and wish her every success in her endeavours," stated Mills.
Immediately following the presentation, the excited writer took the opportunity to thank her supporters and TDC for its contribution. ~~adz:Right~~
"I would like to thank my dad, my teachers, my friends who encouraged me to write and of course TDC. I just want to say a special thanks to all of you," expressed an elated Edwards.
Also on hand to witness the brief award ceremony, were Mr. Clive Bacchus, General Manager, WINNFM, Project Coordinators, Shaniqua Carey and Sharon Richards, Radio Personalities Carla Astaphan, Vernon Springer, and Laughton Tatem, School Principals, Mr. Anthony Wiltshire, Teachers, the Runners Up, Corporate Sponsors representatives, and members of the press.
