Police Press Release
    Police are investigating a shooting incident, which took place at Phillips Village on Saturday 24th February 2007. A twenty-three (23) year old male resident of the area received multiple gun shot wounds to his body and is presently hospitalized at the J.N.F. General Hospital.
    Any person(s) with information in relation to this incident should contact the Tabernacle Police at 465-7227 or Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 Extension 220/236.
     
     
    The Criminal Investigations Department is also investigating another shooting incident that occurred approximately 1:40 a.m. on Saturday 24th February 2004 at Taylors Village, Basseterre. A twenty (20) year old male adult of Basseterre area received multiple gun shot wounds to his body and is presently hospitalized at the J.N.F. General Hospital.
     
    Any person(s) with information in relation to this incident should contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 Extension 220/236/230.
     
     
    The following persons were arrested and charged between 23rd and 25th February 2006;
     
    · On Friday 23rd February 2007, Jevon Bennette of Willet's Village, St. Paul Village, was charged with the offence of "Obstructing a Police officer while in the execution of duty" committed 23rd February 2007 at St. Paul Village.
     
    · On Saturday 24th February 2007, Jevon Bennette of Willet's Village, St. Paul was charged with the offences of "Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon" to wit a pair of scissors, and "Resisting Arrest" committed on 23rd February 2007, at St. Paul Village.
     
    · On Saturday 24th February 2007, Kevin Bergan of West Farm was charged with the offence of "House Breaking and Larceny", committed between 15th and 16th February 2007 at West Farm.~~adz:Right~~
     
    · On Saturday 24th February 2007, Cleon Francis and Derrick Wattley both of Grove Village, St. Paul's Village, and Kishmu Queeley of the Alley, Sandy Point, were charged, with the offence of "Disorderly Conduct" committed on 24th February 207, at Station Street, Sandy Point.
     
    · On Sunday 25th February 2007, Hosea Garnette of Tabernacle was charged with offence of "Being found in an Enclosed Premise", committed on 22nd February 2007 at Conaree Village.
     
    In two separate incidents in 24th and 25th February 2007, officers of the Strike Force discovered a total twenty-eight (28) small ziplock bag with vegetable material suspected of being cannabis and five (5) pieces of a hard substance suspected of being crack cocaine. 

    Both incidents occurred in the Newtown area however no one was criminally charged in relation to the drugs found.
