BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, APRIL 23RD 2007 Cabinet is reviewing its policy on duty concessions on personal vehicles for civil servants.
The review follows requests made by several civil servants for duty concessions on personal vehicles for which they do not ordinarily qualify.
As a result Cabinet has mandated a review of the policy.
According to the current policy, Permanent Secretaries, Ambassadors, certain directors, certain Heads of Department, and certain officers who by the nature of their responsibility use their personal vehicles for extensive traveling are entitled to duty free concessions on a personal vehicle every four years.
