Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 01, 2007): Outstanding tour operators spent the morning aboard the Crown Princess Cruise Ship on Monday celebrating the honour of being notable shore excursion providers.
Shore excursions manager with Princess Cruises, Rebecca Jamieson, distributed awards to representatives of the St. Kitts Scenic Railway and Kantours: Nevis Sailaway. St. Kitts Scenic Railway received the prize for best high volume tour, while Kantours took the award for best low volume tour.

Ms. Jamieson explained that cruise passengers see the on shore experience as an extension of Princess Cruises and as such, the cruise line is pleased whenever tour companies and their working representatives make the experience a joyful one for cruise guests.~~adz:Right~~

She explained that identifying the best tour operators comes directly from cruise passenger questionnaires. She added that the awards give valuable feedback to local tour operators on how their tours impact excursionists.

Representatives of the recognised tour companies expressed their gratitude, noting that their performance was meaningful to Princess  as well as to the advancement of the local tourism industry and the livelihood of persons living on the island.

Following the award ceremony, the tour operators were treated to lunch and a tour of the Crown Princess Cruise Line.
