After a disagreement with Minister Dr. Timothy Harris, local Calypsonian/MC/Businessman Reginald Thomas also known as "Calypso Reggie" was arrested last evening and held for over three hours at the Tabernacle Police Station for threatening Minister Harris.

SKNVibes.com spoke with Thomas who said that he and Minister Harris argued over an advertising job that Harris wanted him to undertake. According to Mr. Thomas, there was controversy with regards to the appropriate boundary lines within which the planned advertising campaign should take place. A heated argument ensued and Thomas was later taken into custody by police for questioning.

The actual arrest occurred at 6:45 p.m. in Mansion Village. Thomas was held until 10:25 p.m. at the Tabernacle Police Station in Tabernacle, St. Kitts. Thomas informed SKNVibes.com that Corporal Smitten who was in charge of the station last night, contacted him at around 12:30 p.m. today to further inform him that four summons are now pending.

A source indicated that Thomas may be charged with threatening, indecent and insulting language.

Thomas who regards himself as the "Minister of Roads without pay", has since made an announcement on a popular radio program that he will be contesting the seat held currently by Minister Harris of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party in constituency No. 7 from Ottleys Village to Bellvue in the next General Elections.
