    The following persons were arrested and charged with offences between 12th and 14th May 2007;

     

     

    ·         On 12th May 2007, St. Clair Phillip of Upper Monkey Hill was charged with the offence of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on 11th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 14th May 2007, Javid Samuel of Ponds Extension was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 12th May 2007.

     

    ·         On 14th May 2007, Javid Samuel of Ponds Extension was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 12th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 14th May 2007, Jermaine Underwood of Trafalgar Village and Jermaine Wilkerson of Basseterre were charged with the offence of "Assault with Intent to Rob" committed on Saturday 12th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 14th May 2007, Anthony Nigel Stead of Carty Alley, Newtown, Dwayne Emerson

      Hobson of St. Johnson Village; Benjamin and Michael Gully of Texas, USA; Leroy Maxwell Roach of Buckley's Site, Aaron Sylvester Fredrick were charged with the offence of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit Cocaine, committed on 14th May 2007 at Lower Fiennes Avenue, Basseterre.

     

     

     

     

    At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 14th May 2007, Oretha Flanders of Saddlers was convicted of "Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon" to wit a cutlass committed on 18th August 2006. She was subsequently fined $300.00 to be paid in two (2) weeks or in default to serve one week in prison.

     

     

     

    Also at the Magistrate Court on 14th May 2007, Spencer Hodge of Keys Village pleaded guilty to a charge of "Battery on a police officer" committed on 13th May 2007 at Keys Village. He was subsequently convicted and fined $1,000.00 to be paid in two weeks or in default to serve one (1) month imprisonment. Hodge was also convicted and cautioned for the following offences, "Malicious Damage", "Resisting Arrest" and "Indecent Language" which were all committed on 13th May 2007 at Keys Village.

     

    At the High Court on 14th May 2007, Clifford Sutton of Waterworks, Cayon who was indicted for the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny" pleaded guilty to the charge. Sutton was subsequently sentenced to serve three (3) years imprisonment, while Anthony Phillip who was also charged with him pleaded not guilty to the charge and his trial has been set for 4th June 2007. The offence was committed on 15th November 2005 at the St. Peters Community Center.

     

    Also at the High Court, Leonard Gumbs who had earlier during the assizes pleaded guilty to a charge of "Unlawful Wounding", was convicted and fined $6,000.00 to be paid in six (6) months or in default to serve twelve (12) months imprisonment.
