    The following persons were charged with offences between 25th and 28th May 2007;

     

     

     

    ·         On 25th May 2007, Curtlyn Huggins of Old Road was charged with the offence of "Wounding with Intent" committed at the Paul Southwell Industrial Site on 22nd May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 25th May 2007, Calvis Austin Rogers of Trinity was charged with the offences of "Battery on a Police Officer" and "Resisting Arrest" committed on 25th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 25th May 2007, Zahid Ali of Bath Village, Nevis was charged with the offence of "Rape" committed on 23rd May 2007 at Frigate Bay.

     

     

     

    ·         On 25th May 2007, Sheldon Cannonier of Neverson Street East was charged with the offence of "Shooting with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm" committed on 24th February 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 26th May 2007 (16) sixteen-year-old male of the Basseterre area was charged with the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny" committed on 20th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 26th May 2007, Elvan Warner of Basseterre was charged with the offence of "Escaping Lawful Custody" committed on 15th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 26th May 2007, Alex Claxton of Bath Village, Nevis was charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 26th May 2007 at Bath Village, Charlestown.

     

     

     

    ·         On 26th May 2007, Kevin Kelly of St. Pauls Village was charged with the offence of "Being armed with an offensive weapon" committed on 25th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 27th May 2007, John Gumbs of Pond Road, Newtown was charged with the offence of "Being armed with an offensive weapon" committed on 26th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 27th May 2007, Michael Richards of West Bourne Street was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 25h May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         On 27th May 2007, Kirsten Clarke of New Castle, Nevis was charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 27th May 2007 at New Castle, Nevis.

     

     

     

    ·         On 27th May 2007, Leon Griffin of Zion Village, Nevis was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 2nd May 2007 at Fothergill, Nevis.

     

     

     

    ·         On 27th May 2007, Tayan Wilkins of Nisbett Settlement, Nevis was charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 27th May 2007 at New Castle, Nevis.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Glenville O'Flaherty of Upper Cayon Village was charged with the offence "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Kevin Gilbert of Upper Cayon Village was charged with the offence "Obstruction" as per the Drug Act, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Michael Paul of Upper Cayon Village was charged with the offence "Battery on a Police Officer" committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Devon Williams of Upper Cayon Village was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon" to wit a knife, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Akeem Byron of Newton Ground Village was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon" to wit a knife, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Detoia Byron of Conaree Village was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon" committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Clive Javid Sullivan of Half Way Tree Village was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon" committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, Chesit Fraites Richardson of Conaree Village was charged with the offences of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon" to wit a knife and "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    ·         On 28th May 2007, a fourteen-year-old female of the Sandy Point area was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an Offensive Weapon"  to wit a pair of scissors, committed on 28th May 2007 at Cayon Village.

     

     

     

    On Friday 25th May 2007 the following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court;

     

     

     

    ·         Mercedes Jose Santana and Altagracia Maria Heredia of Santo Domingo were convicted of "Using a passport that was not lawfully issued to them" committed on 8th May 2007 at R. L. B. International Airport. They pleaded guilty to the charge and were subsequently fined $1,000.00 each to be paid forthwith or in default to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment. Both female are presently at Her Majesty's Prison.

     

     

     

    ·         A (14) fourteen-year-old male of the Basseterre area was convicted of the offence "Larceny" committed on 2nd May 2007 and the court ordered that he receive six (6) strokes.

     

     

     

     

    ·         A (14) fourteen-year-old male of the Basseterre area was convicted of the offence "Larceny" committed on 2nd May 2007 and the court ordered that he receive six (6) strokes.

     

     

     

    ·         A (16) sixteen-year-old male and a (15) fifteen-year-old male both of the Basseterre area were convicted of the offence "Larceny" committed on 17th May 2007 and the court ordered that they each receive six (6) strokes. 

     

    Also over the weekend, two male juveniles age (15) fifteen and (16) sixteen were arrested for violating their court ordered curfew of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., when they were picked up at 12:15 a.m. on 29th May and 9:30 p.m. on 25th May 2007 respectively.
