“Digicel hands over $10,000 cheque”
BASSETERRE – ST. KITTS (June 10th, 2011) – For the 6th consecutive year, The Bigger, Better Network - Digicel has made a commitment to the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club, with a sponsorship contribution of EC $10,000, toward the 2011 St. Kitts Golf Open.
At a press conference held on Wednesday 8th June, 2011 at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club grounds, the organizers thanked Digicel for once again coming on board to assist with the staging of this popular event.
Marketing Executive – Jeanille Osborne was present and remarked, “Digicel is once again proud to be a partner with other sponsors in making this 2011 Johnnie Walker St. Kitts Open possible.” She made sure to mention that “Digicel, as a supporter of the development of sport in the Federation did not hesitate to commit to this golf tournament, which sees golfers from around the Caribbean and other parts of the world displaying their fine golfing skills.”
This year, Digicel has also sponsored three local golfers in their quest for the championship. The Bigger, Better Network wished Alden “OJ” Maynard, Antonio Phillip and William Thompson the best of luck as they attempt to “swing” and “putt” their way to victory.
