BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – PANDEMONIUM broke out last night (June 10) at the Green Valley Festival’s Miss Green Mist Pageant when a contestant demonstrated her disapproval with the judges’ decision.

Following the announcement of the Runners-up and not hearing her name, Contestant Number One Cherane Fyfield became angry and walked off the stage.

And to make matters worse, the Windsor University-sponsored contestant flung her participation gift box on the stage.

While backstage, Fyfeild was heard saying, “Dey too f**&%** cheat, main want ‘nuttin’ from dem.”

One of her supporters in the crowd was also heard saying, “Main coming back Cayon for no show because dey don’t want dey crown go out a Cayon.”

The incident worsened following a brief confrontation between Fyfield the Master of Ceremonies, Damian ‘Cuttoe’ Liburd.

Liburd had voiced his disappointment in the way she reacted, and that led to an exchange of words which attracted a relatively large crowd.

A number of individuals thought that Fyfield displayed an excellent talent performance but at the end of the night the judges’ decision was final.
