Trevorne, who presented the valedictory speech, expressed sincere gratitude on his own behalf as well as the graduating class of 2004, to all who contributed to their success thus far. He said, “To all our educators, we would like to say thanks for your hard work and dedication. It was an exciting and adventurous time for us.”

“You often displayed the spirit of praise when we were at our best,” he added. “You encouraged when we were about to quit, assured when we were afraid, nursed when we were sick, tolerated when we were at our worse, and of course disciplined when there was a need.”
“Let us remind ourselves that we can each achieve our goals if we stay focused,” he told the graduants. “Please let us not lean towards the evil forces that now threaten our community. Let us be good role models and make wise choices. Let not the hard work of our primary education go for naught. We can make it if we try, provided that we trust God to be our guide; remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthened us.”
As he concluded his presentation, Trevorne left these words with his fellow students. “To those of who we are leaving behind, remember that success comes with hard work and determination. Never allow any one or any thing to stand in your way or try to take your dreams away from you. Gingerland primary can be the best school on the island if you do your part. We trust you to cooperate with the teachers and commit yourselves to aspire for the highest at all times.”
As he departed the podium, Trevorne reiterated the theme “We promise everyone that we will strive to achieve success through a wining attitude. We will conceive, we will believe and we will certainly achieve.” The graduation was held under the distinguished patronage of Mr. & Mrs. Oriel Hanley.
Mrs. Averil Elliott, Language Arts Co-ordinator of the Education Department, gave the feature address while Rev Tyrone Hunkins also gave brief remarks. Mr. Stedroy Williams chaired the ceremony.
