    (Basseterre; St. Kitts): The funeral for the late Hon. Malcolm Guishard, Leader of the Opposition in the federal parliament, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 20, at Grove Park, Nevis.
     
    Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Hon Denzil Douglas, made an announcement at a recent press conference and said that the body would lie in state at the court house in Charlestown on Tuesday, June 19.
     
    “The body will be available for dignitaries to view from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., then from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the viewing of the general public on Tuesday,” the Prime Minister said. 
     
    He further said that there will be two official days of mourning which begin on Tuesday and end on Wednesday and the National Flag will be flown at half mast in all government buildings.
     
    Douglas said that they are also seeking the support of His Excellency the Governor General Sir Cuthbert Sebastian to have a public holiday declared on the day of the funeral. ~~Adz:Right~~
     
    The ferry services that travel between the Federation will be making extra trips to accommodate persons traveling to Nevis to attend the funeral service.
