On Friday 15th June 2007, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones performed a post mortem on the body of the late Craig Hamilton formerly of Conaree. Dr. Jones in his findings reported that death was due to a gunshot injury to the head.

Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday 17th June 2007 in the Newtown area. Three men from the area were approach by two masked male who fired at them however no one was injured. At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 18th June 2007, eighteen-year-old (18) Kenrick Thomas of College Street was convicted and sentenced to serve two (2) months imprisonment. The offence was committed at the Victoria Road on 20th March 2007 when Thomas wounded a nineteen-year-old male from the Cayon area. ~~Adz:Right~~

At the High Court on Monday 18th June 2007, the case of the DPP vs Adrian Buchanan of Sandy Point concluded when the Buchanan change his plea to guilty as charged. Sentencing has been postponed until 19th June 2007.

The following persons were arrested and charged between 15th and 17th June 2007;

• On 15th June 2007, Neville Fahie of Newton Ground were charged with the offence of “Taking a motor Vehicle without the Owners Consent” committed on 15th June 2007 at Monkey Hill.

• On 15th June 2007, Leroy Greaux of Central Fiennes Avenue and Neville Fahie of Newton Ground were charged with the offence of “Disorderly Conduct” by fighting committed on 15th June 2007.

• On 16th June 2007, Lentricia Hughes of New Road was charged with the offence of “Obstruction” as per the Drug Act committed on 16th June 2007 at the Ferry Terminal.

• On 16th June 2007, Kenville Romney of Parsons Village was charged with the offence of “Making use of Threatening Language” committed on 14th June 2007.

• On 17th June 2007, Amos Versailles of Fig Tree, Sandy Point was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit Crack Cocaine, committed on 17th June 2007 in the vicinity of Basket Ball City.

• On 17th June 2007, Akeem Hicks of Crab Hill, Sandy Point was charged with the offence of “Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon” to wit a knife, committed on 17th June 2007 in the vicinity of Basket Ball City.
